What is Lumir Lab Mobile App

Lumir Lab is a smart app for tracking Medical Cannabis sessions and a recommendation tool for products that work best for you. We operate under the license of Strainprint, the leading medical cannabis data company, based in Canada. 

Challenges Receiving Lumir Lab Notification on Samsung S8 / S8+

Samsung has made some changes to the Android operating system on Samsung S8/ S8+ devices that can disrupt notifications within the Strainprint application. This is easy to resolve by following the steps below.

  • From the home screen of your phone find the Messages app
  • Click and hold the Messaging app icon until a dialogue box appears above the icon saying “App Info”. Select “App Info”
  • Scroll down to App Settings and select “Notifications”
  • Make sure that “Allow Notifications” is enabled
  • Close the App Info page. You are now setup with notifications
  • Relaunch Strainprint

How do I add a product/strain that is lab verified?

I can’t complete a session.

Go to the ‘Profile’ section, tap ‘Logout’ and close the App. Then reopen the App and sign back in. This will reset the App and enable you to complete your session. All of your previous data will be preserved.

I forgot to input my User or Activation Code when signing up. How can I get the bonus points?

Please e-mail us with the User Group information and the e-mail address related to your account and we will credit you with your points.

I redeemed for an item, but haven’t received it yet.

Our loyalty items are sent out in batches every several days. Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to arrive.

My Loyalty item was removed from ‘store.’

Our loyalty items have ‘valid until’ dates. We will often extend these dates if the item is still in stock. However, once the item is out of stock, it is removed from the ‘store.’

My App Points total does not accurately reflect all of the sessions that I’ve recorded.

Lumir Lab points are only awarded for a maximum of 3 sessions per day. However, you can log as many sessions as you wish.

The App is ‘crashing’ on my device.

Go to the ‘Profile’ section, tap on ‘Logout’ and close the App. Then reopen the App and sign back in. This will most often correct the issue. Unfortunately, there are a few Android and LG devices that are not fully compatible with the App. If your issue persists, please e-mail us directly so that we can investigate the issue further.

What do you do with my data?

What is the purpose of inputting a user Activation Code?

Inputting a user Activation Code (depending on which one) will unlock exclusive benefits such as unique redemption coupons or additional bonus points’

What is the redemption limit within the Loyalty Program?

Users are limited to receiving a maximum of 5 physical items (including E-Gift Cards)  from the Lumir Lab loyalty program (including a maximum of 1 vaporizer). However, there are no limits when redeeming for partner coupons or making point donations.

Will my points transfer over if I input a User Activation Code?

Yes, all your points will be transferred so that you can use them for the exclusive items on the Lumir Lab ‘store.’

Lumir Lab Analytics

Can pre-exisitng patient data be integrated into Lumir Lab Analytics?

No. Lumir Lab is not a EMR/EHR system. We can, however, import specific data varaibles for use in study or clinical applications. #SpeakwithSales.

Can Lumir Lab Analytics integrate with my other systems?

YES. Lumir Lab can be integrated with most ERM, ERP and seed-2-sale systems. Lumir Lab is deeply integrated with Ample Organics.

Can the ingestion methods and listed strains be customized?

Lumir Lab currently supports 12 ingestion methods and is pre-populated with expanded chemical profiles for over 2,000 lab-verified strains and products. The view of listed ingestion methods and strains can be customized under a white-label subscription license with an Activation Code.

Does Lumir Lab make medical recommendations?

No. Lumir Lab provides a view of aggregated data as tracked by patient users of the app. This data can be filtered in a variety ways. Lumir Lab does not make recommendations or give instructions on the accurate use of cannabis in any way. Rather, we provide an infrastructure and an aggregated view of actual patient use for medical practitioners and licensed producers to make their own judgements and recommendations to their patients and customers.

How can I use the app for research and studies?

Lumir Lab Analytics can be used in conjunction with a branded version of the Lumir Lab mobile app featuring customized survey tools or validated questionnaires.

How do I export data from Lumir Lab?

Lumir Lab Global Data is viewable only within the Lumir Lab Analytics web-based portal, but may not be exported. Local data that is generated through a whitel-label subscription (“sandboxed”) with an Activation Code may be exported as an Excel spreadsheet.

How do we maintain the integrity of our data?

Our systems continuously monitor the data to flag suspicious activity and ensure accuracy. Lumir Lab reserves the right to remove a user’s data if they are found to be in violation of our data policies.  

How fast can I be up and running with Lumir Lab?

Base License subscriptions can be live within 48 hours. White-label License subscriptions can be live within 4 weeks (subject to customer availability).

How is Lumir Lab Data Collected?

Lumir Lab data is collected in real time from patients using the Lumir Lab digital cannabis journal (outcomes-tracker mobile app), which is available for free on Android and Apple devices.

Is Lumir Lab privacy compliant?

“Strainprint is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

HIPAA is a U.S. law that governs data privacy and security for safeguarding medical information. Strainprint complies with all HIPAA standards for privacy, electronic transactions and security (including the HITECH Act and the Omnibus Rule of 2013). PIPEDA governs how private sector Canadian organizations collect, use and disclose personal information in the course of commercial business. PHIPA is the Canadian comparable to American HIPAA.

Strainprint has implemented policies, processes, and procedures designed to ensure HIPAA PIPEDA AND PHIPA compliance and maintains various reporting mechanisms that are required by law or requested by its customers.

  • Some examples of how Strainprint complies with these regulations are as follows:
  • Requiring consent from mobile app users for collection of personal information (journal-ethics friendly)
  • Limiting collection of personal information to reasonable purposes
  • Limiting access, use and disclosure of personal information
  • Storing personal information accurately and completely
  • Developing policies and procedures for breaches of privacy
  • Having measures for resolution of complaints
  • Having special privacy rules for employees

Strainprint Technologies is Canadian owned and operated and all servers and infrastructure are located in Canada. Likewise, all data collected via our platform is stored only on infrastructure physically located in Canada. We have no affiliates outside of Canada, and no foreign body has authority to compel the production of our information.”

What is a “session”?

A session is a medical record of a patient’s state just before or as they medicate compared to their state and emotive effect after an on-set period. The on-set period is based on the chosen ingestion method (eg. 20 minutes for smoke/vape or 1 hour for edibles). A session is only complete after all data is input. Patients must complete their last session before starting a new one. Incomplete (stale) sessions are purged after 36 hours.

Why do you need my email?

We require your email address to confirm your new account, or if you forget your password and need some extra help!

We will also send you notifications so you can stay on top of great cannabis conversations and see when others have replied to your posts.

Your email will keep you connected to things you’ve mentioned your interested in: like updates to the app or community, research opportunities and surveys!
