How do I tag someone in a post or comment?
By typing an @ symbol in front of the username, like @moderator_bre, a small drop-down menu should appear when you start typing the name after the @ symbol. Click on the user you’d like to tag.
How do the threads work?
When someone posts a question or shares a link/idea, there are two options to comment. You can create a new comment, which can be found at the bottom of the page. The text box will say write an answer. If you wish to reply to a comment that someone else has posted, you can comment under the last comment. The text box will say write a reply.
What are the different forums?
If you have a specific area of interest, you can select different forums which can be found on the left-hand side of the forums page. The default selection is all forum topics, which allows you to see what everyone is talking about in Community.
When creating a post, I’m not sure which category to select. What do I do?
That’s okay! If you click on the arrow in the box below category, you’ll have a wide variety of options to select. For example, if you’re sharing an article you saw on a news website, you’d select Cannabis in the News.
Can I delete or edit a comment or post if I change my mind?
Absolutely. You can also edit a post if you notice something you’d like to change. By clicking on the 3 grey dots at the top of your post or comment, you’ll have the option to either edit or delete.
How can I see if someone has asked a similar question to one that I have in mind?
The search bar at the top right of the page allows you to search for keywords or phrases. Previous posts and comments, along original Community Articles and Videos will show up in the results.
What are notifications?
Beside your profile picture in the top right corner is a bell. If people tag you in a post, reply to a comment or post, there will be a notification letting you know.
How do I clear my notifications?
Once you click your notifications, the bell at the top right on the screen, your notifications should clear. If not, click clear all.
How can adjust when I get an email notification from Community?
Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and then click view profile. On the left-hand side there will be a list of different pages, which starts with account info. Near the bottom of this list is communication settings. After clicking on this you can customize the emails you receive from Community.
Can I invite friends I think would enjoy Community?
Yes! Share the link, https://strainprint.ca/community/home/ and they’ll be able to create an account. If they already have a Strainprint account through the app, they can use that log in info to set up their Community account through that link.
How can I stop someone from messaging me?
Only your friends are able to message you in Community. Cancelling your friendship will prevent them from messaging you in the future. However, if you’re feeling uncomfortable or unsafe with what someone is messaging you, please let one of the Community Moderators or Community Manager know.
What if my question doesn’t get answered?
One of the responsibilities of the Community Moderators is to ensure member’s questions are being answered. If for some reason your question hasn’t been answered in a timely manner, please notify either the Moderators or Manager.
I’d like to learn about a specific topic, but I don’t know where to start. Are there articles or information available in Community?
Absolutely! We have a wide variety of original content and information in Community which can be found under Articles & Videos on the top left of the page.
I’m not sure which licensed producer to pick. Are there resources to help with that?
Yes! There are multiple charts that breakdown all of the different licensed producers available in Canada. They can be found in Articles & Videos under Exclusive for Strainprint Datanerds or here https://strainprint.ca/community/looking-for-an-lp-we-have-all-the-info-you-need/
